History of Relations

South Africa and Liberia established formal diplomatic relations on 10 January 1997. The Liberian Government established an embassy in Pretoria on 1 October 1997, with Ms A Nimley as Chargé d' Affaires.

Health requirements

While a valid international health certificate proving vaccination against yellow fever only is required, vaccination against hepatitis A and B and meningitis is also recommended. Preventative measures against malaria are strongly advised.
